Position Summary

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Sales Manager/Engineer (Mining, Balikpapan) to join our Power Systems business. This role is pivotal in developing and executing sales strategies, leading partner relationships, and driving business growth in the Indonesian mining sector. You will play a key role in achieving sales targets, building customer relationships, and supporting the long-term growth of Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Indonesia.


What you will be doing:

1. Business Operation

  • Handle all sales functions for the product line.
  • Actively seeking new opportunities for growth and sales.
  • Engage with potential customers and convincingly promote the company’s offerings.
  • Meet KPIs and ensure that all sales deliverables are fully met.
  • Ensure the execution of sales goals is achieved in a timely and effective manner.

2. Leadership

  • Lead and manage relationships with partners, including System Integrators and Business Partners.
  • Assess team capabilities and ensure they have the necessary skills and tools.
  • Provide ongoing performance management and supervision under the guidance of the Head of Sales.
  • Implement training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales performance.

3. QHSE + Integrity & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, corporate codes of conduct, ISO standards, and HSE guidelines.
  • Uphold quality management and compliance across all operations.

4. Customer Engagement

  • Represent the company at business meetings, trade shows, and conferences in the mining sector.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to build and strengthen partnerships.
  • Ensure all engagement activities are aligned with Head of Sales approvals.

5. Strategy

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Create innovative sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Focus on meeting and exceeding company targets and objectives.

6. Form Organization for Growth

  • Drive strategic sales development and improve processes, tools, and systems.
  • Align team structures with business growth needs.
  • Enhance efficiency in sales and project management.

7. Partner Network

  • Identify, select, and maintain relationships with business partners.
  • Evaluate partner performance regularly and identify improvement areas.
  • Guide partners towards achieving annual performance targets.

8. Expense Management

  • Plan and manage the annual OPEX budget.
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of resources to meet business needs.

9. Reporting

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports.
  • Support internal and external audits with documentation and data.

10. Collaboration

  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes and customer support.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Position requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or related field, with relevant experience in a sales Manager role within technical/engineering and/or mining industries.
  • Minimum 8 years of B2B industrial sales experience, with at least 4 years in Sales Account Management in mining or industrial heavy truck engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to inspire teams and drive performance.
  • Result-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently while driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • History of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong stakeholder and partner management experience.
